Wednesday Holy Eucharist -  11 am

Mechtilde and Gertrude the Great, Mystics and Theologians, 1298 and 1302

Mechtilde was a Benedictine nun in the Cistern Convent. Gertrude came to the convent at 5 years of age and was under the care and tutelage of Mechtilde and they became very close friends.

In a vision, Jesus told Mechtilde, “In the morning let your first act be to greet My Heart and to offer Me your own. Whoever breathes a sigh toward Me, draws Me to himself”.

Gertrude was frequently summoned by the townsfolk to ward off illness and rodent infestations. People swore by her energy to chase away anything disease-ridden, and ultimately this is why she was canonized.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thursday Nov. 28 at 1:00

Sign up in the narthex so we know how many will be in your party and what you will bring. You can also sign up to help clean up so that we can all go home.

We will be providing turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy, coffee, tea, and cider—you do the rest—salads, veg, dressing, dessert, or rolls. If you want wine for your own use, bring it, and bring a container for leftovers if there are any.
