One fact about Francis you may not have known.

Francis traveled to a Muslim Sultan, preached the Gospel, and challenged them to a trial-by-fire in order to prove the truth of Christianity.

During the Fifth Crusade, Francis and a companion traveled into Muslim territory to visit theÂ Sultan al-Kamil. He preached before the Sultan. To demonstrate his great faith in the Christian religion, he challenged those present to a Âtrial-by-fireÂ in which he and a Muslim would step into a fire, with the idea that the follower of the true religion would be spared by God. Francis offered to go first, but the Sultan turned down the challenge. Nonetheless, the Sultan was so impressed by his faith that he gave Francis permission to preach in his land.

RectorÂs Book Study ~ The Path

Tuesdays at 3 pm in the Library

Sundays at 9 am beginning October 6

The book lays out a clear trail, an easy-to-follow pathway, so that you can journey from one Bible story to the next and see how they connect to each other. As you read through The Path, you will see all of the major landmarks of the BibleÂs storyÂand you will walk in the footsteps of faithful men and women who have done their best to follow GodÂs call.

There are a few copies available in the church office or you can order a copy of the book from Foward Movement, Port Book and News (or Amazon).

Choir Practice

Ways to Worship with Us

Wherever you are in your journey of faith, you are welcome at the Lord's Table. For those who cannot attend in person, the service is offered via livestream on our Facebook page or anytime on our website.

St. AndrewÂs Sunday Worship - 8 am and 10 am. Â Nursery care available 9 - 11 am.
In Forks at St. Swithin's - Â Each Sunday at 2:30 pm - We meet at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for Holy Eucharist or Prayer.
Mid-week Worship Service each Wednesday in person at 11 am.
