WELCOME TO ST. ANDREW'S!

We will be streaming Morning Prayer at 10am, on Sundays on Facebook. You may click on the link below to get to the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church channel on Facebook and shortly before 10:00 you'll see the live-stream. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can still watch live by following these instructions (click here).

At the conclusion of the service, a video of the service will be posted here so anyone can view it after the fact. Thanks for being here with us in this unsettled time; Jesus is present with us in it all.

March 13 - Special News from the Bishop -

All churches in the Diocese of Olympia are closed to worship and any public use effective immediately and at least through March 22 at this writing. This is essentially complete closure of the building to help control the spread of COVID-19.

It is drastic, and has only been decided with deep discernment and prayer on the part of Bishop Rickel, leadership of the diocese and larger church, health authorities and statewide leadership. It is not entered into lightly. It is a Lenten sacrifice for all of us. There will be no worship services until further notice but check here for live-streaming of Morning Prayer at 10:00 Sunday morning. (A brand new thing for us!) Other churches are doing the same across the diocese, including St. Mark's Cathedral at 11:00 Sunday morning.

All who use the building are being notified that they need to make alternative arrangements and all have been supportive and understanding. Please stay home as much as you can; call the church if there is anything you need we can help you with. Pray. Don't panic. You will be kept as up-to-date as is reasonably possible with things changing so quickly. If you are not on our e-mail distribution list and would like to be, please contact the office at sapa@olypen.com or 360 4457 4862 and we'll take care of it. God of all mercy, hear our prayers.

A Franciscan Benediction

May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart. -amen.

May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom and peace. -amen.

May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and to turn their pain into joy. -amen.

And may God, Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier, bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done. -amen.
